Question Formats
You will encounter four types of question formats on the CAPM Certification Exam and as well as in the CAPM Practice Test provided by ExamValid.
The first type of question format is Multiple Choice, you’ll be asked the question and asked to select one or two best options. For example, the question says who approves the Project Charter? And the options are, option a, project manager, option b sponsor, option c product owner, and option d CEO. The correct answer is option b, Sponsor.
The second type of question format is a hotspot. You’ll be shown a graphic that contains A, B, C, and D in the graphic, and asked to answer a question based on it. To answer, you must select the best hotspot option on the graphic. For example, the question says, “Review the graphic: Match the project to the appropriate lifecycle based on the frequency of delivery and degree of change factors.” Then you need to analyze the graphic and place the best matching letter from the graphic into the question descriptor.
The third type of question format is Enhanced matching. You will be given a series of tiles to match their description or put in a correct sequence. To answer, you must drag a tile to its matching description or correct sequential position.
The fourth and last type of question format is animation videos, or comic strips. You’ll be given an animated video or comic strip and asked to answer a question based on it. To answer, you must select one or two best options. This question type is similar to multiple choice, except that you are given a video or a comic strip rather than text.
